CMS - Content Management System

The main task of the CMS platforms is the separation of content (information content of the site) from the appearance (the way it is presented). After the introduction of the new information system by a qualified, system saves them in a database. The system then generates a dynamic CMS websites based on content originating from the database and the corresponding templates. This allows for a more flexible and above all more convenient content management than using static HTML files. Using the templates means that changing the whole service graphic concept comes down to preparation and replacing the template (ie. Skin). With this approach, the process of publishing on the Internet becomes simpler. Moreover, the same data can be presented in different formats at the same time, eg. As PDF files. In recent years, CMS platforms have evolved, adding a possibility of flexible and dynamic modification not only the content but also the structure. Content management systems are usually based on databases and scripting languages (server-side), or specialized software that runs on the server side. CMS can be a form of client software, which can use protocols such as FTP for updating the site. A complex techniques of describing the document structures are used more and more often (eg. XML).

CMMS - Computerised Maitenance Management System

Specialized computer systems designed to support, in a boradest sense, maintenance manufacturing companies. Among the functions performed by the CMMS systems are:

  • managing the registry of company's equipment
  • managing billing, purchases and selling of an equipment
  • planning an overview and other equipment activities
  • managing monitoring procedures and other documentation
  • events registration related to the maintenance of equpiment's production including failures / repairs / maintenance etc.
  • personnel management services including maintenance work schedule
  • supporting the implementation of projects related to maintenance, eg. Large component repairs
  • planning support and maintenance budgets execution
  • managing warehouses' parts and accesories for the needs of SUR (Maintenance Service).
  • analysis and evaluation of activities in the area of maintenance

CMMS systems are usually highly integrated MRP-class solutions, including providing repairs and maintenance schedules for equipment as one of the constraints for productive capacity planning.

CRM - Customer Relationship Management

CRM concept exists in the business world for a long time, but in recent years the use of CRM has increased due to better access to technology and data integration. Companies should consider a CRM solution in order to maintain existing customers and to serve their unique needs. If a company is focused on providing high-quality services that are adapted for those customers, then they will build loyalty, which in turn will result in an increase in revenue. CRM is an investment for the company and its board, which must be accepted by traders. This solution must be within the purposes of the company, and the staff needs to be trained, otherwise the efforts will go down the drain if the sale is not monitored properly or if the additional client's data is not available to the right people at the right time. Untrained staff often creates a serious threat to the entrepreneur. Therefore, most companies know that when they lose customers due to ineffective or delayed response to customer's needs, they will lose income and potential new customers. When customers are upset, their friends will spread the news about their dissatisfaction with our services, we lose a lot of customers while a satisfied customer will bring us the next bunch. CRM solution used by a trained personnel in companies that do not save on retraining staff gives us a shorter sales cycle, reduces administrative costs, has an impact on reporting and faster execution time, increases sales and increases customer's retention. As a result, CRM solutions allow companies to increase revenue by capturing new customers and maintain existing ones, and it's all thanks to better management of their business.

ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

Determining the class of information systems in order to assist the co-operation of the enterprise or a group of cooperating enterprises, through data collection and to allow operations on the collected data. This contribution may include all or part of the management levels and helps to optimize the use of resources of the company and the processes in it. ERP systems are modular software, ie. Made up of independent but cooperating applications and are included in the class of integrated information systems. In the ERP system may also comprise other modules such as transportation management module, controlling or project management. ERP systems allow you to adjust them to the specificity of individual companies, including that individual modules can be mutually independent of each other (ie. can operate without the presence of other modules).
